This course introduces the Understanding Infant Adoption 7 (UIA 7) curriculum and helps trainers prepare to offer the UIA 7 curriculum to healthcare professionals.Prerequisite:To sign up for this train-the-trainer course, you’ll need a solid understanding of the UIA 7 curriculum. That’s why you must first complete either the 2.5-hour, 4.5-hour, or 6.5-hour version of the training to be ready for this course.

This 2.5-hour course on Adoption-Sensitive Clinical Care features the Understanding Infant Adoption 7 curriculum designed for hospital-based staff. This training will inform hospital-based staff about nondirective counseling of the adoption option, state and federal adoption laws, adoption types and practices, making appropriate referrals for patients considering adoption, and considerations for hospital adoption policies and procedures.
